Has lived with severe visual impairment since childhood. Took a master’s at the University of Northampton with a thesis on smart glasses for blind people, which became Mavis. Previously founded and scaled an internet service provider to 46 employees and 180 towers, exiting in 2019. He designs the product, and he uses it.
Clint Schick chairs the advisory board. Pritul Khagram advises as investment director, and Pete Jackson on finance. Assembly, engineering and customer support are being built out in Northampton against volume and service targets rather than guesses.
A cost base built from drivers, not guesses
Every role in the plan is derived from volume or service load: assembly technicians from units per technician per year (300 rising to 440 as tooling matures), support agents from subscribers and minutes used per month. Headcount grows from 5 in 2026 to 111 in 2031 while payroll falls from 48% of revenue in 2027 to 19%.
